As with all our plans, compliance work is conducted by real specialists, and documentation is kept valid and up to date for the duration of your active subscription.

What Counts as a Product Type?

Product types are determined by material and supplier, not by color, branding, or size variations. We make sure you're only paying for genuinely distinct product types.

Example:

You offer stainless steel frying pans in three sizes (20cm, 24cm, 28cm), all from the same supplier with the same coating. That counts as one product type.

If you also offer a similar pan made of aluminum or from a different manufacturer, that would count as a second product type.

We’ll confirm your count before onboarding. No overcharges or misclassification.

We issue official documentation confirming each product type’s compliance with the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR). This certification supports customs clearance, online marketplace access, and inspection readiness throughout your subscription.

2. Risk Assessment

We complete a structured safety evaluation for each product type, factoring in age grading, intended use, and materials. Your documentation includes practical risk mitigation measures based on GPSR best practices.

3. Technical Documentation

Your plan includes the creation and ongoing maintenance of a complete technical file. This includes:

• Declarations of Conformity
• Labeling and traceability details

4. Labeling & Warnings Review

We review your product labels to ensure full compliance with EU law, including:

• Recycling and disposal icons

We’ll help you correct anything noncompliant before it becomes an issue.

5. EU Authorised Representative

As your designated EU Responsible Person, we act as your legal contact point for market authorities. Our German office address is included for use on product labeling, valid as long as your subscription is active.

You retain legal market access, and we manage regulatory correspondence on your behalf.

6. Online Marketplace Registration

If you sell through EU-targeted platforms, we register your business in the Safety Gate Portal (as required under EU rules). This helps ensure platform compliance and regulatory transparency.

7. Market Surveillance Support

If EU enforcement authorities raise a concern, we’ll manage the initial response and communication. Further technical work is quoted only if needed, and always with your approval first.
